I bake with kids. They learn stuff along the way.

I’m Melissa -

Baking solves my problems,

and maybe yours too.

My thesis? Kids lack engaging ways to build executive functioning skills; parents lack structured tools to teach them.

I wrote a book (with more on the way!).

My other thesis? We need more children’s books that tell a story and give you a recipe to bake along with.

There’s no thesis here - other than there’s no such thing as too many high quality baking products and activities in downtown Manhattan. Right?!

Baking is one of the few activities where kids can plan ahead, make mistakes, regulate emotions, and see a real outcome - all in one place.

I’m building toward bigger ways of reaching families - through books, media, and experiences that make learning feel fun and doable.
